What we have been up to...

I feel like it's been forever since I blogged. We have been so busy, yet if you ask me what we have been doing, I would have a hard time telling you. Ugh. I guess a sign we are getting older and the days are flying.

So- some highlights:

Mysterious footprints in our back yard going from the woods to the back steps. Weird and freaky. Luckily, nothing else funny happening around the house. All doors have been locked and secured and the blinds have been down. I asked Sean what he thought, to which he pointed out that nothing looked rustled up in the woods and that maybe it was a squirrel. A squirrel? I don't think so. Hopefully I will never know.

Soccer got rained out last week which is good since Owen doesn't seem to enjoy it anyway. It isn't that he doesn't enjoy it, he just decides when he's done. Maybe we'll have better luck next year.

We wore sunglasses in hopes the weather would improve...but it didn't. A cold and rainy weekend here.

We also pulled our shirt over our head and looked like a nun. A cute nun, if I do say so myself.

Owen wanted to get in on the fun, so decided it was time for another pony tail.

See his perfectly adorable little forehead? Yeah...and then this happened this weekend:

Corner wall 1, Owen 0. Quite the victory for the wall...just in time for picture day at school tomorrow.

The highlight of the weekend was Hunter's Homecoming. Freshman year- dances/ girls/ all the fun stuff. I was quite shocked that he actually wanted to go to Homecoming. Didn't bring a date (as he learned from Sean- why bring sand to the beach) and went alone. He got ready at the house and his dad came over and we took pictures and off he went.

He looked so handsome....and old. Sean and I got a sitter for the night and went to the little towny bar by our house for dinner as we waited for the dance to end. At 11pm, we pulled into the high school and Hunter came out beaming. He had such a great time. Got some digits, danced with girls, got some hugs. Success! I was so proud of him for going, on his own. He has more confidence than I ever did growing up.

  1. Such a great post Shannon, I couldn't agree more about time flying by yet can't recall what the heck you did. I have been a serious bad blogger lately and it's due to the same things, too busy, which results in no energy or time to blog.
Your little man is so handsome, so glad he had a blast at the homecoming dance. Sean's comment cracks me up!!!! Men....

Hope you had a great weekend!
