Friday!

In honor of Rebecca Black- hahaha

I am so happy it's Friday (not enough to sing about it but the song is so annoying you end up catching yourself- ick).

Anyway- it was a good week. Work was very busy and some extra playtime with Hunter, so no complaints here. Owen also worked on potty training (kind of) this week. Sean's mom bought him underwear, so every night since Sunday, he has worn his big boy underpants for at least an hour just to get used to them. Last night was the longest he was in them- about 2 hours. No accidents, but he also wont go on the potty either. Sean made the mistake of telling him that the potty ate poo poo and pee pee so I think the poor kid is afraid he's going to get sucked in and eaten as well. I have the 3 Day Potty Training Method that I need to try as soon as I get three days off in a row.
He looks like such a big boy!!!

Ok- I haven't done my TV Talk in a while- we were so consumed with selling things on ebay (7 items and $165 later) and looking for new homes, that I neglected my dvr. Now that we have decided we are not moving for at least a few more years, I was finally able to watch a few of my shows:
  • Teen Mom 2- the only highlight of this week's finale was the wedding between Corey and Leah.
  • Grey's Anatomy- OMG- a musical? It's not Glee. I'm thinking they jumped the shark. It was a good episode in terms of the story line- and Callie can sing, but the singing just seemed to cheesy and corny to me. Wasn't a fan- though I have the song Story in my head from it.
  • American Idol- Loved Elton John week. Need to get into it more- I love Steven Tyler as a judge, but find myself watching Survivor instead of Idol if they are on at the same time.
  • Survivor- loving it this season so far. Glad Russell is gone. I have my episode from this week dvr'd and hope to watch it today with Hunter.
Speaking of today- half day at work and then he and I are going to another movie. Off to see Source Code- will let you know my thoughts of it on Monday during my weekend recap. Other than that, usual errands tomorrow followed by a night out of drinks and bowling with a group of friends and finally meeting my nephew on Sunday. Have a great weekend!

Tell All Tuesday

  • After a rough day at home yesterday, I have learned that Sean will never be a stay at home dad.
  • Though it was really cute to see the fun things he was doing during the day with the kids- he took Owen's big Wheel out of the box to play with, they watched movies, they played soccer in the basement- you know, all the normal things you do with sick children.
  • I dropped them off at school this morning- hopefully they stay there all day. Neither had a temperature- so hopefully all are back to normal.
  • I did a little decorating over the weekend- pics to hopefully follow tomorrow if I can remember to bring my camera.
  • I was totally shocked yesterday while reading my Bachelor spoilers....and then watching last night. I don't know how I manage to get sucked in every.single.time.
  • Charlie Sheen is crazy- mark my words- tragedy is not far from happening. It makes me think back to the day a few years back when I played in a Fafarazzi league with my FK's. Heath Ledger died, I picked him up and scored tons of points. If I were in a league right now, Sheen would be a great pickup. (It's kind of like Fantasy Football). Any FKs reading this, should we start a league again?
  • I watched a new show that I had on my dvr last night- Traffic Light. I believe it's from the producers of the Hangover. I really liked it- looking forward to watching the other two episodes I have taped.
I think that is all for today- here's hoping for healthy kids, a busy day at work and a fun night of taco Tuesday!

Show Us Your Life- Beauty Secrets

Today at Kelly's Korner, the Show Us Your Life topic is beauty secrets! I wish I had more of them, or that I was taught by a professional- or be able to do things like a professional...but I will share a few of the things that I know...or have learned.

for me, after all these years of dealing with my frizzy, crazy hair, I have finally realized that I don't need to use hair products after all. My hair is naturally curly and I have spent years going to the salon and leaving with new products to help control and manage it. In reality, I never needed any of it. All the dollars spent and the products would just sit in my cabinet. My hair is manageable and soft...
See- pretty straight hair... with a round brush- and my straightener...
My must haves:
  • The Chi straighteners, in my opinion are the best.
  • Aveda air control hairspray

It gives you the control of hair spray, but not the heaviness or the crunchiness. I also used to be a big fan of the aveda shampure shampoo and conditioners, but this mama is on a budget. The best I have found for cheap?
Garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner.

Aside from hair care, I have a few must have make up items too...

Make Up Forever HD Foundation- color 120. I also grabbed the nars concealer after the kind makeup gal told me about the dark circles under my eyes... I guess I'm an easy sell (picture below).

I was supposed to buy powder but figured I would hold off until my next trip (must remember to get color 220 next time for that). I then walked away with concealer, eye shadow, blush, eye liner, eye primer...eek!

Here is my eye liner- I absolutely love the Lancome liquid eyeliner in noir. I then went and purchased a eye lash curler. I never curl my lashes and wanted to start so purchased what they recommended...
I needed a new blush so went with Nars powder in the color sin. I love it- though the first time I tried it, I didn't realize how much grabbed to my brush and it went on a little dark. But- I finally had cheeks! or cheekbones I should say.
I wanted to start working on my eyes a little more so purchased a primer. I didn't realize that you needed a separate primer for eye shadow in addition to the face. So- me, still in sticker shock for knowing what I was about to purchase, decided to choose one and buy the other another time. So- I bought the nars smudge proof eyebase. Totally makes a difference. My eyeshadow and liner finally lasted all day! After deciding on the base, I went with some eye shadows as well. Nars abyssinia and duo kalahari (not these purple colors shown- ha). I then finished the eyes off with the bad gal mascara. I already knew I was a fan of that one after trying it one day when I was unimpressed with diorshow.

Now- if only I could apply it like the professionals... hmmm...

Looking forward to the weekend. This was a busy week at home. Sean worked some of the night shifts to retrain somebody so I held down the fort. My parents came over last night which was nice- always nice for them to see the grand kids.

In TV news- nothing too impressive for the week. My usual staples were kind of boring. I didnt laugh as hard with Modern Family, Grey's was slightly boring, the Bachelor almost predictable and I want to strangle everyone on Teen Mom. Yet- all in all- still good entertainment when the kids go to bed!

This weekend, I hope to finally watch The Hurt Locker... I looked at my netflix account and we have had it since December 30. I could have probably purchased it by now for the amount I'm paying per month for my netflix membership. No plans tomorrow (Sean is fishing in a tournament) and then Sunday we're supposed to visit with his parents who are coming to town and then go to the Cavs game. They have lost, I think 26 straight, but my girlfriend has floor seats so I didnt want to pass up the game. Maybe we'll watch them set yet another record. Lets bring back football season- Go Browns!

Dear Owen- 2 1/2 years old (and then random rumblings)

OWEN'S HALF BIRTHDAY

I cannot believe my baby boy is 2 1/2.... He really seems to be growing up so quickly. One minute he's a baby, and the next a little boy really running around everywhere. Independent, stubborn, funny...
  • Owen is wearing size 2T and 3T shirts, mostly 3T, and 2T pants.
  • Still in a size 4 diaper (sad that he and Quinlin wear the same size)
  • 30 pounds... I need to get his height checked but he is pretty average with the other kids in school. He used to be such a chunker and now all of a sudden is looking pretty slim.
  • Size 6 shoes and size 7 boots.
  • Owen loves all things sports... but especially basketball and football. He has been known to take play food at daycare (aka the dinner roll) and say "Hey Roddy- catch the ball" and toss it like a football. Roddy has also taught him hockey- a newfound love of Owen's. He also is loving basketball more and more- especially since Hunter plays in a league. Every saturday night, upon returning from Hunter's game, Owen rushes to his hoop and begins to practice his shooting and dribbling.
  • Owen loves to talk...and talk and talk. He loves to answer questions with "because I had to, because I needed to" responses. It's cute to see his brain working. He wanted candy the other day and saw the halloween bin at the very top of our pantry. "Mama, candy" he demanded. "No Owen". Why?"I then explained that it was empty. He looked at me, cocked his head to the side and said "too high"?
  • Between 2 and 2 1/2 brought the change from toddler to little boy in our dealings with Climbing out of the crib and the dreaded crib transition. But- ever since we moved to the full size bed, he has been sleeping like a charm. Naptime on weekends can be a little rough sometimes, but I have learned to let him play with a toy quietly in bed and eventually he falls asleep.
  • At 2 1/2, he still loves to play outside and hates that it is so cold to be able to do so. We came home from school the other day and Sean was out snowblowing. He instantly came inside, found his snowpants and hat and wanted to go outside as well. I got him all bundled up, only for him to change his mind because he was hungry. At least he's eating!
  • At 2 1/2, he lights up when he sees Quinlin. He loves to wake her up in the mornings by going into her room "Hi Quinny" though more pronounced like "hi Kinny" and in the car if he cant see her face he starts yelling "Kinny, wake up!" He loves to play with her, though at times, may accidentally get too rough which results in tears and an instant "I'm sorry Kinny" promptly followed by a kiss!
  • Best friends- Nora, Roddy, Nicholas and Adam... Nora is the biter and I know they will get married. It is a total love/hate relationship. Out of the blue, in the car, he'll say "No bite Nora" when she's not even with us. Or- he'll say "No Nora, my toy" when she's nowhere around. He thinks about her all the time. Yet- he loves her... and hugs her...and instantly wants to find her to play.
  • still no real interest in getting out of diapers. I'm hoping that will change soon...I'm also hoping that our good friend Binky, who we see only at night time, disappears soon as well.
  • favorite foods- pizza and tacos. Still not really into chicken- unless it's nuggets.
  • favorite toys- anything sports, lamby (of course), the black and decker tool shop, and anything Quinlin's
I thought the terrible two's would be worse, but he is just the sweetest, funniest little guy. I love to see his personality shine through- and see the joy of life in his eyes!

No other news to report. So glad it's Friday! I have a weekend of just me and the kiddos while Sean goes ice fishing again... will the ice ever melt? The other day on my way in, I captured this

yes- it's cold. At this rate, I will be an ice fishing widow until May. But- I can then catch up on my dvr, I hope during naptime. Not much in my tv world this week.
  • The Bachelor- I was sad to see the nanny Ashley get sent home. I liked her. Michelle is still crazy as ever- and now that I know the story between her and Carlos Boozer, I look at her completely differently. Homewrecker. The girls all crying is getting old- and I see no chemistry at all with Emily. They are just really trying to make us all fall in love with her so she can be the next bachelorette.
  • Tosh.0- what rock have I been living under that I haven't seen this show before. Hilarious! (though- mom and dad- totally inappropriate humor that you wouldnt like). Totally inappropriate. Hunter walked in and I paused the show and he said "Oh- you're watching Tosh?" Yikes- I know he's been watching if he knew exactly what it was.
  • 90210- not sure why I still watch but totally sucked in. The new girl on there, Emily, reminds me of a young version of Jennie Garth. The story line though seems like a story line from the original 90210 days. The story with the psycho girl who wanted to be Kelly...
  • Grey's Anatomy- was a good episode. I felt so bad at the end when Mark told Lexie that Callie was having his child. :(
  • Oprah's search for the next TV star- yep, I'm hooked on the new OWN network. I like this "reality" show a lot and also the Oprah Behind the Scenes. Very interesting to see how a show comes together.
That's it for me. Happy Super Bowl weekend- Go Pack Go!!!

Owen's Pretty Smart

I'm participating in Jenni's bloghop for the first time today with my own edition of your three words....Mine- Owen's Pretty Smart!

So- my sister (affectionately known to my kids as Tia-Spanish for Aunt) came into town for Quinlin's birthday. She lives in another state, so doesn't get to see the kids much. So- I'm sure the terrible two's don't leave the best impression on her. So- we were talking about Owen and I said "you'll love him just as much as the others- he'll wiggle his way into your heart." So- I was playing with Owen and he started touching my sister's hair and said "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle". A few days after that, just Owen and I were playing and I said "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle" to him and started tickling him. Owen responded to me. "No mommy- Tia isn't here."

Also- at school they were learning colors and this week, the color was white. Every week I'm given artwork of projects they worked on, etc. It's nice to see what they learn and get updates on the progress. So- his teacher Karen was telling me how he went to color the crayon and kept saying "It's not working- It's not working." Of course, white crayons on white paper wont show up. So- he flipped it over and grabbed another color. "all better".

I think he's pretty smart...

Not much to report on tv talk this week. All I got to watch was The Bachelor and Teen Mom and I did catch up on my Jersey Shore from last week and am hoping to get caught up on American Idol. Other than that, I think Glee, Modern Family, Grey's and Desperate Housewives were all repeats. The Bachelor has the crazies coming out more and more each episode and Teen Mom now makes me want to strangle Kailyn... hello you young, dumb, girl... of course your baby's daddy's parents don't want you dating someone else while you live in their house. MOVE OUT! It's so irritating.

Looking forward to the weekend- much needed girl and "me" time. :)

Am I psychic?

Remember what I posted yesterday? This...

well- I think I must be psychic... I was just at the doctor Saturday with Owen, Tuesday with Quinlin and then I picked the two of them up from school yesterday and sick again were we. I went to Owen's room first and they said he was crying all afternoon that his ear hurt. And- he did look miserable. Ok- I thought- no biggie...we put ear drops in if he has something. Off to Quinlin's room I went. Her teacher Karen warned me "she looks awful". I took one look and saw it right away. Her eyes were incredibly goopy. They couldn't "kick her out" because she was on antibiotics but she was a mess.

I brought them home and called the doctors office. Too late in the day to get an appointment, I was hoping they would just call in some drops for them. No such luck- they needed to be seen. So- I arranged for my parents to come over for part of the day and I brought them in this morning at 9:45 before heading to work.

Quinlin was a tough one... because she is possibly allergic to amoxicilan, they put her on a z-pack for her double ear infection. When he looked at her today, her ears were still in full blown infection, so it wasn't working at all. She also had the crusty eyes (poor little girl couldn't even open her eyes this morning they were so glued shut). So- after much debate, we're trying her on a different medication- a cousin to amoxicilan. I'm kind of nervous though as he said "If she has difficulty breathing, get her to the emergency room. If she has a rash- have her come see me. and lastly- a common side effect is red stools". Yikes! So- she's on this new medication now and we'll just monitor her.

Owen's ears were fine. Not sure why he was complaining. At least its the weekend. Maybe I can take Saturday and Sunday to help them recoup away from the germs at daycare. So- aside from the illnesses, my week went fast and there wasn't much time for TV. I did get to watch a few of my top shows though...
  • Bachelor- I hate Michelle. She's psycho...what I don't understand is why Brad never tells her to stop being rude and interrupting. and- why he always goes to her when she does interrupt. Ick.
  • Teen Mom 2- I'm glad Jenelle caved a bit. I still hate her. I love Corey and Leah and cried with her as the baby was being checked out. I hate Kailyn- boring. and yeah- I would be pissed too if she started dating someone yet was still living in my house? go away!
  • Modern Family- this week's episode was total laugh out loud funny. Kids caught Claire and Phil in bed. Hilarious... and an episode I wouldn't let Hunter watch. The kids totally made the episode what it was too. still laughing.
That's it. Lets hope for healthy vibes this weekend!

Getting Busy!

Holy cow Hollywood. In addition to all the engagement announcements after the holidays there are a ton of pregnancy announcements. It seems like everyday someone knew is announcing some news. It's so crazy!

Selma Blair (I didnt even know she was dating anyone since her divorce),Kevin James' third, Khloe Kardashian (though not sure if this is just another rumor or the truth), Owen Wilson, Then- Kate Hudson announces the next day- ironic, Natalie Portman, Tia Mowry. I'm sure I'm missing someone. I check my daily gossip sites and was amazed at all the announcements...

Lots of babies! Those famous folk sure are busy! And speaking of busy- time for me to get on this party planning for baby girl. Party is sunday and I haven't done a thing. Well- I lied. I ordered her cake and pumpernickel bread. Hopefully between today and tomorrow, I can get my house cleaned and the party planned. Yikes!

Here is the invite we sent. I had some guilt as I am so behind in planning mode, that I didnt know if we should do paper invites or evites. I opted with paper. I was really excited with how they turned out. Now if only her small little party will be just as good.

And since it's Friday- here's my edition of tv talk of what I watched for the week:
  • Modern Family- last week's episode with James Franco. Any episode is good when the sole focus is on Cam and Mitchell. Love them!
  • Desperate Housewives- interesting twist to have Zach show up at the end as the flower delivery man. I wonder what the storyline is on that one...
  • The Bachelor- no new thoughts. I still get sucked in
  • Grey's Anatomy- I fell asleep. shows either how boring the episode was or how tired I was.
  • Teen Mom 2- holy cow! My guilty pleasure is back with all new girls. Jenelle- a hot mess. Total train wreck. I wanted to punch her in the face the way she talked to her mother. Her mom is over bearing but oh my goodness, the way Jenelle spoke to her, threatened her, etc... I just feel bad for Jace. I love Chelsea- or maybe I just love her dad. He's such a great influence on her- and I love his advice and words of support. Leah and Corey are great. I read the spoilers so I know how they are doing. Will be fun to watch. I dont care for Kailyn or her storyline- boring.
and- just so I dont forget... Sean was tucking Owen into bed last night and they were laying together, facing each other.
Sean:  "I love you Owen"
Owen: "Owen and daddy- best friends"

melts my heart. have a great weekend!

Our night in review...

I got a text message from Hunter yesterday (and I think he texted because he was afraid to call) to tell me that he all of a sudden realized he had a project due for school and he forgot about it. Poor little dude started his homework at 3:30pm...

This is how he was when I got home... still smiling...
 working hard...
trying to concentrate
He finished at 11pm... the last part of his project was a brain teaser that took forever. I tried to help him- but realized I need to go back to eighth grade... I think I have lost a few brain cells since I graduated from college.

While Hunter worked on his homework, Quinnygirl ate dinner

helped unload the dishwasher

took a bath and then hungout in the kitchen while I cleaned some more
and then went to bed.

She awoke this morning in a great mood

But you know who was in a better mood? This little guy...

I promised my sister more pics of Hunter and Quinlin- but I couldn't resist the dancing machine at 7:15 this morning. He was a riot.

No pictures of Hunter from this morning... I think he had some bags under his eyes. Thank goodness we skipped basketball practice so he could get his homework done. Lesson learned- dont save things for the last minute.

So glad it's Friday. It's my half birthday- happy half birthday to me, happy half birthday to me... :)

Real quick- tv talk (what I watched this week)
  • Desperate Housewives- why couldnt they just kill Paul Young already? I'm so sick of him... curious to see where the storyline plays out now that he knows about his wife. I also would like to say that I want Eva Longoria's hair...
  • The Bachelor... I can't resist. Every season I get sucked in. I read realitysteve so I know the ending, but I still must watch. Hello boobs and weirdos on this season. And fang girl? Not sure why he kept her. I also cannot figure out Chantel O's ex-husband and it's killing me. I really like Emily- tragic past. Hooked.
  • 16 & Pregnant- where are they now. I love that they did a recap of the girls who were never featured on Teen Mom... nice to see where thier lives have ended up. Some of them seem to really have things under control.
  • Grey's Anatomy- episode was ok. Slightly predictable as even Sean was half watching and said "I bet Christina comes out of the ambulance" and sure enough, he was right. That's another show I can't give up on.
I think, sadly, that is all I watched. I seem to get one show a night (or have time for, let's say). I wanted to watch Modern Family (dvr'd) with Hunter last night (we love that show) but the homework consumed him and I didnt want to watch without him.

No big plans for the weekend. Sean is ice fishing tomorrow and I think we're going to his parents on Sunday to pick up Owen's full size mattress... I'm still on a bedding/ room decor hunt. If you have any ideas...send them my way.

90210

If you know me, you'd know that Beverly Hills 90210 is my favorite show of all time. We used to gather around the sorority house and watch it, I'd watch after I came home from college. Such memories watching 9-0 and then Melrose Place. 90210 was one of those shows that I have probably seen every episode- at least 10 times. Sean has now seen them just as much. Sad, I know. The new 90210 doesn't compare, though I am still hooked. Not quite sure why.

Shocking that Andrea...aka Gabrielle Carteris turned 50 today. Really, 50? Yikes...am I really getting that old? I guess she was 29 when she started, but sheesh. It's funny to look back on this and think- could any of them really get out of the 90210 shell? Besides a made for tv movie here and there, I dont think so. Good thing Brian Austin Green became relevant again on Desperate Housewives- and maybe for marrying Megan Fox...though she looks just awful lately.

Pretty Megan Fox...

not so pretty...

I digress.... happy birthday Andrea!

I think I must have a thing for childhood memories. My favorite movie of all time is from the 80's... my second favorite movie of all time is from 1986- Lucas- and the main character Corey Haim is now dead (though I guess I shouldn't feel too old since he died of drugs and not old age?)

I'll post more tomorrow about my week off, a bloggy friend meet up and sick children (of course).

TV Talk

I didn't really enjoy 16 and Pregnant this week... I found myself feeling really sorry for the girl. I found the show to be more "staged" and "forced" conversations for the camera. I found the guy to be immature and irresponsible. Very disappointing. Instead of finding it to be good tv this week, I found it to be more of a true look into a poor girl falling for a stupid guy and being left to raise the baby alone. Thank goodness for her parents.

What else have I been watching?
Desperate Housewives- I am still watching after all these years. Sean thinks its stupid, but it is a show I can't miss
Glee- was disappointed it was a re-run this week. Looking forward to next week and the Bon Jovi song! (I love Bon Jovi)
Grey's Anatomy- I thought last week's episode was really good. The documentary crew following the doctors around for a tv show. I thought it really tied everything together nicely from the shooting at the hospital to where they are today.
America's Next Top Model- I'm an episode behind but am liking this season. Not sure who I like the most. Jane maybe? and the blonde with the gap in her teeth- I like her. The tall girl is so awkward, but does take great photos.
The Challenge- always entertaining- both the actual challenges and the social aspect
The Simpsons- Owen is obsessed so this is on in our house all the time. I remember liking it when  I was in 7th grade (I think) and can't believe it's still on tv now. Great humor...he doesn't get it but loves it.
Dancing with the Stars- I liked Audrina... disappointed she is gone. This is #2 go-to show for Owen if he cant watch Simpsons, he asks to watch Dancing. I think Jennifer Grey is my favorite out of all who are left. Why is Bristol still in?
Modern Family- we love this show. It's nice because we watch as a family together every Wednesday night. Cam is by far, my favorite.
Survivor- we're an episode behind- but this is another one that we all watch together. I was disappointed that Jerry Jones got voted out so early in the season. I'm sure CBS was disappointed too.
Life Unexpected- I have like 6 of these shows DVR'd. I really like it but need a "me" day so I can catch up.
Oprah- I dvr this one for the few and far between good episodes. I would have thought being her last season, the episodes would be stronger. I watched Portia De Rossi's episode this week. Very touching as she talked about being a lesbian and having eating disorders... I felt bad when she brought up being a lesbian to her mother and the right things to say and the wrong things to say. Of course, you always want what is best for your children to have the happiest life possible, but I wouldn't turn my back or make my children feel less worthy, if they chose to have a different lifestyle.

I think those are my go-to shows at the moment... I really only get to watch one show a night but I cherish that time.

16 and Pregnant

16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom are my guilty pleasures.... I enjoy putting the kids to bed and curling up under the covers and watch, in peace, these shows... I dvr them, I watch them when they are a rerun and I have nothing else to watch (rare, my DVR is so full). The premiere of the new season was Tuesday night.... did you watch? The highlights for me:

[1]He wore a jumpsuit to their wedding and they had their honeymoon at the racetrack

[2]Condoms were under the sink...was she condoning sex by even teaching her how to put it on the cucumber?

[3]they named the baby Brody- a combo of Brooke and Cody

[4]they wanted to buy a prefabbed barn to live in- though after seeing one, it was kind of cute.

[5] at 26 weeks she complained she wasstarting to get big and was uncomfortbale- not big at all. Suck it up.

[6] she wore a pink sweatsuit at her baby shower

[7]I like the mom "I should not have to pick up a breast pad ever". I did like when she said I'm trying to help you learn how to be a wife and mother, and for you to be a husband and a father.

Loved every second of it... Brooke seemed to have a very supporting family... Unlike April, the mother of Catelynn on Teen Mom... Anyway- I will hopefully blog some recaps here and there throughout the season. Classic stuff- really!

Looking forward to the weekend! I am off of work today- hoping to get a good cleaning done on the house and get a jump start on the laundry. The kids are at daycare so I can really dig in. Aside from that, we have a Halloween Party to go to tomorrow night and Trick or Treating on Sunday. Have a great weekend!

TV Talk

Remember this post?

http://twodudesandadiva.blogspot.com/2010/05/tv-talk-greys-anyone.html

Yeah- I couldnt stop talking about it. Loved the episode- everything about it. The season premiere was last night.

Major Letdown.

I dont know what I was expecting, but I was disappointed. I even fell asleep partway through it and had to rewatch what I missed this morning.

I get that it would be hard to pick up exactly where they left off, but to come back into it and see them through thier counseling sessions, etc, didnt do anything for me. The only positive was seeing Bailey vulnerable again. Though- I do hope she can let the "tape and glue" dry and end up with the anesthesiologist.

Best line in the show?

Christina "How is Owen"
Meredith "Owen is fantastic"

Haha. I had to smile.

Maybe I should stick with my shows that dont require me to think. LOL. Teen Mom, Bachelor, Real World/Road Rules Challenges, Survivor... I love that stuff!

So- at least its Friday. We dont have much planned this weekend. We got our babysitter for tonight so Sean and I could go on a much needed date night. Not sure where we are going yet. Aside from that, I hope to do some shopping and cleaning this weekend. And spend time with my children. Have a great Friday!

TV Talk- Grey's Anyone?

Last night was the two hour season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Holy Shit. It was Ah-MAZ-ing! So good where I gasped after the first 8 minutes and scared Q who was drinking a bottle. So good that I spent half the episode with my jaw dropped and my hands on my face. So good where I found my heart beating out of my chest. So good where I didnt want it to end. So good where I didnt mind staying up until 11:00pm and listening to Sean bitch about how a bedroom should not have a TV in it anymore and that when I get home, it will be disconnected (I think he's all talk personally).
***Spoilers***
  • Holy shit when he shot Reed. Shocker
  • Hilarious when Bailey was working on Charles with the patient (Mandy Moore) and she asked what was leaking and getting her wet and Mandy said it was her tears. Nice to see a vulnerable side for once
  • Glad closure (maybe) has been determined in the Lexie, Sloan, Karev storyline. I did feel bad for Sloan when she was professing her love for Karev
  • Meredith and Derek- heartbreaking. Heartbreaking seeing Derek get shot and Meredith watching. heartbreaking when they unhooked the machine to fool the shooter and watching Meredith fall to the ground. Heartbreaking that she then suffered a miscarriage.
  • Glad that Derek lived (did I really expect him to die?)
  • This episode totally ranked with the Denny dying episode, the George dying episode and the bomb squad where the bomb blew up episode.

Holy shit- cant stop thinking about it. Great, great tv! Then Q was up all night for some reason, not sure why, so I think I'm running on maybe 2 hours of sleep. All the more to add fuel to the fire for Sean as to why we should have gone to bed earlier. I dont regret it though. Great tv!
